I LOOOOOVE michelle pfieffer so much, and was really looking forward to this. I stuck with it but with a "what the hell am i watching" face the whole time. Also, I'm a mom of adult kids, and it really depressed me the way these kids were so unhappy being at their parents for the holidays.

It was bad!

Dennis Leary was an odd choice. No chemistry with Michelle and he looked weird to me. Not sure if that is due to plastic surgery (?) or if he is just aging and I’m just too used to his face 20 years ago.

The kids sucked! Why were they so mean to their brother in law, who just wanted to be their friend?

All the little comedic side plots - the shoplifting, the hotel room, the towing, the perfect neighbor - just seemed to fall flat.

I wish they’d played up the perfect neighbor plot. Maybe something like Michelle Pfeiffer ultimately learns that having a happy loving family is more important than the perfectly decorated house and meal and that keeping up with the Joneses (or Wang-Wassermans in this case) is not worth it.

Aren’t the vast majority (80%) Prime and Netflix original movies crappy? Thats what I’ve noticed. By crappy, I mean sit down to watch it with intent to see the whole thing and after 10 to 20 minutes need to turn it off.

It was terrible. The adult daughters were so f-ing mean. Irredeemable. The son - they inexplicably made him such a loser - no way the girl across the street would be drawn to that. I think they wasted the talents of these young actors. Michelle Pfeiffer (whom I love) did her best with a terrible script, but it was beneath her. AWFUL.

I triple dog dare you to watch it. It’s legit terrible.

But I still want people to watch it so we can discuss how awful it was—and what they should have done instead.

I usually love anything Michelle Pfeiffer is in, but this movie on Prime is even worse than the worst Netflix Christmas movie. She and her husband are rich...why would she risk her reputation on this dud?

The scene in Eva Longoria’s office was the highlight of the movie.

Nonetheless, I hope people watch it so we can collectively workshop what the producers should have done differently.

I agree 100%. It was on my list and started it last night and made it about 20 minutes. It is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen and that’s saying something.

Michelle looks fabulous… Her face is actually moving so doesn’t look like she’s had Botox or filler. But she also looks reasonably her age too.

I mean, it’s like the producers never watched Home Alone or Christmas Vacation. They totally missed the vibe, cast the wrong actors, used the wrong setting, and opted to avoid comedy.

I’ve been looking forward to this movie for weeks and wanted to love it, but…

Why is Denis Leary cast as a dad in Texas?

How on earth could any Director make Michelle Pfeiffer unlikeable?

This movie should have been set in a charming town along the Main Line.

The kids are awful yet devoid of personality or humor.

The first 90 seconds resonated, but it was downhill from there.

They couldn’t find a way to inject humor into the dads struggling to assemble the Barbie dream house? Really?

Why is the oldest daughter so miserable? And awful?

Im only 20 mins into it and it’s a lackluster slog.

Love that they were bold enough to showcase the Wang-Wasserman family as the perfect neighbors.

Shoplifting? Weird. Did AI write the script?

I want someone to re-do this dumpster fire of a movie.
