I always have had one big advantage though: Im white and I was born in the USA. That started me off on third base

Hope you are doing better now - - am glad you got rid of that cheating rat of a husband most of all!
Some things I have overcome:
• Being adopted as a newborn.
It was a fully closed, international adoption so very unlikely I will ever learn a thing about my long-lost biological family.
• Terrible upbringing by adoptive parents.
Was sent away to live in group homes, etc. multiple times during my childhood.
• Was a financially struggling working single parent.
• Was a victim of domestic violence in multiple relationships.
• Lost my best friend, the only person who truly mattered to me in the world to a terminal illness a month ago.

Yawn, boring, this is so Year of George Floyd. No one cares. The vast majority aren't rich limousine liberals in Bethesda readinf Robin D'Angelo at book clubs.
Life is hard for almost everyone, end of.

The good news is made me into a stronger, better person. I’m independent, I take care of myself, I don’t tolerate BS from anyone (but especially men). Which did lead me to attracting WAY higher quality men, and my current partner is really the most incredible man I’ve ever met in my entire life.
Not that the end goal should be landing a man, but, I have found that the stronger and more independent you are, the better men you attract. Which is helpful after going through a traumatic marriage and divorce.
