^pp again — this is specifically the lower-level SSAT in 3rd grade. DC did do SSAT test prep for the upper level version taken in 8th for HS admissions. Totally different situation.

I see no reason to stress a third grader with test prep. I had DC do the mini (I think about 10 minutes?) SSAT available on their website to familiarize with the format so they knew what to expect and weren’t anxious. That’s all they needed. A full practice test would be fine. More than that is unnecessary.

My third grader is applying to a school that requires one of these tests. He is currently at another independent school and hasn't experienced standardized tests before. Any advice on best test in this situation?
