Yes, there are different events all over the country with different priorities. Anonymous wrote:the hats. The are not free until after 3pm. They are coming however.Anonymous wrote:Wait did you just say your ECNL DD's main contact is going to a GA event....wait for it....

no chance of space heaters? That sounds brutalAnonymous wrote:Will ECNL ever learn NOT to host a Showcase event in the Midwest during December??? Game time temp for one of our games will be below 20*!!! College coaches will not be attending those games as I have seen on X. Waste of time and money. I’d rather go to Alabama or even New Mexico. That is the ONLY thing GA seems to do better. A SoCal event during the same time. Three years in a row, crap weather. SMH.

Luckily, their first two games are at noon and the 3rd is at 11. I did see that they are shortening Monday's games to 35 minute halves.
My DD is U17 and 15/18 players on her team have verbally committed - the only 3 that haven't are just entering the recruiting cycle as they are 2028 grad year. I feel bad for those players since it's the opening event and looks to be kinda crappy.
Florida, IMO, was really the better event to focus on in attending - ton of coaches there last year and weather a bit better.
I know that my DD's main contact at her committed school is going to the GA event and two other assistants will be in KC.
Interesting the college cup being there - looks like it's back in Cary at WakeMed the next two years.
Oh well. Let's hope no one gets hypothermia like last year in St. Louis.
