Cities tend to be warmer than the suburbs. Rarely will DC get a delay.

Not delayed lol. I think people forgot that prior to Covid DCPS was always the last to close. No way they are closing for nothing more than cold rain. The forecasts were very consistent that nothing would freeze inside the beltway, and DCPS does not prioritize employees who choose to drive in from deep in Loudon County or whatever.

Absolutely no chance for DC. Can you stop, guys? You always do this on the first winter event every year. It gets old. That's why people get cranky.

These are the schools so far. And agreeing with PP; some people need to take a deep breath and calm down. I feel bad for their kids.

Culpeper County Public Schools - 2 hour delayed arrival
Fauquier County Schools - Delayed 2 hours
Frederick County VA Public Schools - 2 hour delayed arrival
Loudoun County Public Schools - 2 hour delayed arrival
Matthew's Center for Visual Learning - 2 hour delayed arrival
Shenandoah County Public Schools VA - Delayed 2 hours

So it looks like MCPS and FCPS already have a high chance of delay. And then there's DC...

What's wrong with your brain? MCPS has a 30% chance. FCPS has a 20% chance. Those odds are not high. DCPS? Practically 0.

Alarm o'clocks tomorrow, people. Do your homework.

Looks like someone is in a bad mood. Jeez no need to be so rude to people. DCPS has around a 10% chance. Once it was a 15% chance and school still got delayed. It's a guessing game but some people sure have "something wrong with their brain" and take stuff way too seriously.

Nope.

DCPS does not delay or close as easily as MCPS and FCPS, and there's a very small chance that either of these systems delay, because the DC area is mostly going to see rain. There is a negligible chance that DCPS delays tomorrow.

Again, the freezing rain is not predicted to come close to DC. A few snowflakes at 6am, then switch to rain, will not trigger a delay.

nope, its snow flurries and slick icy roads. Also like OP said, DCPS is very over reactive and I also remember when school got delayed last year cause of "literally just rain"

What are your predictions? Will dcps schools have a 2 hour delay because of the "snow" tomorrow? My daughter and her friends are convinced there will be a delay tomorrow and are already super hyped. I remember last year when they had a 2 hour delay because of some rain...
