Would you have not had an insurance agent you regularly used who did that stuff for you?

Sorry if this is a dumbass question

Insurance agents have nothing to do with that.

I think last time I bought a car at a lot, I had done all the paperwork and delivered the certified check, but I had to wait until my insurance agents processed it all to be able to drive off the lot. Insurance is required in my state, though

I bought a Tesla. All paperwork done online. Then when it was ready we went to the Tesla "store", used the phone to unlock it, and drove it off the lot.

I've never had an insurance agent who did that for me. Maybe I'm the dumbass (or too thrifty to pay for white glove insurance service)

Yes, yes, and depends.

We bought with carvana. Extremely easy process. Pay online, car delivered on certain date. The depends is based on your state. In DC (our case) carvana gives you the title but you need to handle registration yourself, which we did online.

I have not bought a car online but I did consider it when we last purchased one. I had reservations about what happens if I do not find the car acceptable. I was concerned about how soon I would get my money back because I would need that money to purchase a car and I was on a timeline. Maybe the process is different now.

Has anyone here actually bought a car online?

And had it delivered to their home?

How does the paperwork go on that?

I haven’t bought a car since I had to deliver a certified check from a bank in person.
