I have been on Zepbound since last November: 2.5mg for the first month and 5mg after. Starting weight was 185; current weight is 158. The side effects were manageable and appeared only for the first month or so.

Looking back, I wish I had stayed on 2.5mg longer. Currently, I am stretching the 5mg dose to 2 weeks. Thinking about going back to 2.5mg.

What is your current weight and height and how much do you want to lose?

Once I lose 30 pounds will see if I can go down from 2.5 to really mini dose. Or maybe take shots less often. I’m 5 weeks in and have lost 11 pounds.

For me it has been dramatic! First two weeks there were side effects. But second week was less than the first. They included nausea, diarrhea, constipation, achiness, and fatigue.

Where are you getting it?

I inject in thighs. Slight nausea week 1. Tried belly last week and was really sick so back to thighs.

PP here. My dose is the 8 line on the needle. I’m on a compound, not zepound. My point is that you may not need to increase to a full strength dosage if you don’t mind a slow weight loss.

I’m on ozempic compounded from willow. I started at .25 and didn’t lose much but noticed appetite suppression and no side effects. Went to .5 and similar: no side effects and about a pound of weight lost in two weeks. Went to 1 mg and had nausea the second and third days for the first two shots but have now lost a steady pound a week for 3 months. I am
Planning to go back down to .5 as soon as I get to my goal weight in about 7 pounds (which will be what I weighed in college). If I’m still losing on .5 I will either go to one shot every two weeks or back to .25.

I'm still on the starting dose at 10 weeks, so I am not sure how that compares to microdosing. What amount is that?

I've lost 20 pounds effortlessly and am already at my goal weight. As an earlier PP said, the hardest thing is not wanting to lose more. You get to the point where it is so easy so why stop? It's like you see yourself differently- not sure how to explain it.

I had side effects the first week- nothing crazy, but I felt them. Less in the second week, but still noticed them, and then no side effects from week 3 on.

I am curious what it means to microdose and how that is different? Smaller dose? Longer time before shots? Is it cheaper?

I am using a compounded version that is $200 per vial so it lasts for 8 weeks at my current dosage (though my first vial was 9 weeks, so I think I must have accidentally underdosed a little). I would probably be fine with a little less each week as I don't think I should continue losing at this rate. Or is it better to extend between doses?

This thread doesn't help unless people say doses. Either what they started at or what they are micro dosing.

I feel fine… I really haven’t had many side effects. Body dismorphia is real though. I’ve lost a lot (I’m short) and have had people comment and my clothes don’t fit and yet I still feel like I’m huge — bigger than I was before! There’s a lot mentally that goes into this so be prepared for that. Physically though it hasn’t been a big deal.

Ty! How do you feel? Have you had any other side effects? I’m so tired of feeling like I’m trapped in this envelope of fat/ like another person

Without going into a long boring vent, this has been a hard year. I really desperately need something to make my weight issue a little easier (I had thyroid cancer and so am kept suppressed which makes me gain weight even when desperately trying not to. And no it’s not a concern for my Dr bc I did not have medullary).

It’s hard for me to believe this could really work for me without making me too sick to work. Would love to hear advice and hopeful stories! I have a super stressful job and I can’t afford insomnia or to be super migrainy or nauseous
