Ham- cooking a ham for leftovers as well

Panini Press: Pulling it out so we can make custom choice of panini.

Would love ideas of fillings today! Was thinking sauerkraut, pepper jack, swiss, caramelized onions, ?? etc?

I love things like pesto and chopped olives in my paninis! I hadn't thought of a panini press in YEARS, this is a fun idea.

Oh yes, I have pesto, sundried tomatoes and banana peppers.

Meatballs and spaghetti. My son home from college requested that especially. Great because I made the meatballs and sauce a few weeks ago and froze, so super simple for me and he was thrilled.
Pizza Friday night.
I made soup for incoming guests, served with rolls and salad. Easy and flexible.

There's a local pizza joint the college kids want when they come home, so that's always their first night home

One kid wants mom's chicken parm and the other a vegetarian dish, so I will make both on their second night home

Other night's will be the kids other favorites - I am so happy they are home O am happy to oblige

Wed night, after a full day of pie baking and Thanksgiving prep, we order out. Usually Chinese, but tonight I will be pushing for Leb Tav.

Thurs day is mostly fend for yourself until the main meal at 4:00 - all are participating in the turkey chase, so I have a French toast strata that will be ready upon arriving home

Friday leftovers

Saturday one kid leaves, the other will choose if they want leftovers, a mom cooked meal, or out to their favorite restaurant

For tonight (everyone is arriving at different times), I made Italian meatballs and lightly sauteed them in some avocado oil, and then slow cooked them in a spruced up jarred sauce. Served over pasta. No sides except the arrival bevvy of your choice.

Tomorrow it's ham and cheese hawaain sliders, homemade mac and cheese, and a salad of mixed greens and herbs.

Breakfasts will be bagels and fruit.

We are going to wing lunches.

Zero additional cooking. Dinners at Ruthie’s and Filomena (tried to get out of Filomena but it’s a family fave and it was requested). For lunches we’ll do fast casual like Cava or Nando’s. Breakfast will be a choose your own adventure of coffee, yogurt, fruit, cereal or drive down the road to Starbucks.

Just for fun - for those with houseguests, what other dinners or meals are you cooking this week, besides the main event?
