The community absolutely loved Mr. Stokkes from a few years ago. They were not racist then.

I would not classify the community as racist. I would classify the community as educational elitists/snobs that don’t want their school run by underqualified admin without strong academic backgrounds teaching math and science.

Context always matters. Are people retiring or leaving FCPS? Are they getting promoted and/or moving into vacancies as part of the normal and expected career progression?


OP- retiring and moving on mid year. Multiple times. This isn’t end of school year type situation.

When admin changes there is always change in teachers, counselors, and other admin. So, yes, this is normal. It’s virtually impossible to retire with FCPS with 2 days notice. There is a notification window that is months prior to retirement.


That is usually true. However, if this is the school I suspect it is, a counselor retiring on a random day in November feels a bit off. Almost like they were asked to leave or quit in very short order for a specific reason.
