Delaware deferred by son 2 years ago but then gave him merit when they eventually accepted him. Thought that was odd, was about 7k a year. i always wandered if their acceptances were lower than expected and had to do some sweetening to get more.

For next year (did DC just apply?). I’m curious about the timing. My own DC got an acceptance last week.

FWIW, I don't think she's heard back about the Honors college yet. When does that happen? Was admitted first week of November.

You can’t stack scholarships. But they can raise the amount of a scholarship.

Those decisions (Honors) come out usually after the new year. Also, If you apply for honors college, they automatically consider you for larger scholarships like the DuPont. Those they will send out interview invites for those to a select group later (February?) and announce in spring. I’m not sure about stacking name scholarships, but some people who got invited to that weekend and attended got additional merit aid (meaning the amount of their current merit offer was bumped up a little) if they didn’t get one of the big scholarships but attended.
