The piano advertising is for resale of used pianos that get cycled out of schools. It’s a partnership between the company and MCPS.
Have you bought one? The advertisement says that the company provides new pianos to MCPS, and offers them to the public as well.

Ah, yes. The pianos.
We got those offers sent home since the 80s. They may have been sending it before then, but I can’t speak to it.

I’m not the Op, but I am always struck that I get more emails from Jostens harassing me to buy a yearbook year round than I get from the school itself.

You do realize that the students go on these ”free trips” abroad so their is benefit to the students.
They are many thousands so it’s not a trip inclusive. They send it through their work email and school newsletters too.

That's the PTSA's email platform, not the school's. And of course teachers are members of the PTSA.

They aren’t allowed but the principal is very relaxed.
