What are you saying? GPA is not reliable. But you also don’t like test scores, they don’t predict success?

So what exactly do you want?

EQ, cheating, leaders who ship jobs overseas for profits.

Leave IQ for countries who care about innovation and true merits

I am not sure if you are OP.

But that’s why test required is needed to prove academic readiness.

The biggest cheating is when the school hands out As like candy, then the kids find out they can’t pass 8th grade math when they are in colleges.

Does this count as cheating?

If this is how students do their homework, what is the point of going to colleges?

My high school son has been following the news about Meta/Google glasses fervently.

He also told me that the top student in the grade came to class yesterday after missing a bunch of days, found out there was a test, left the classroom, and just went home.

No one can answer this. Anyone’s answer is pure speculation. It will vary by school, and of course anyone whose kid cheats or has heard their kid say their friends cheat will say it’s rampant, and anyone whose kid isn’t aware of cheating will say it’s not that common. It’s likely somewhere in the middle, with more at some schools and less at others.

Widespread, unfortunately. But it is hard to get away with it in the workplace, so eventually it gets better.

I’ve occasionally come across these kinds of accusations on social media—whether about competitive high schools or elite colleges. I’m curious if anyone has personal experiences to share. Is this truly a widespread issue, or just isolated incidents?
