I know 4 kids at BC who are there because they didn't get into UVA. 2 were rejected ED and 2 EA.

Not surprising. BC full pay is an absolute ripoff.

My DC was a cross admit and chose Michigan (#3). A friend of hers chose between the same 2 schools and picked BC. Different schools for different kids. That’s why it’s nice to have choices.

Why is it even remotely surprising that there are lots of cross applicants to BC and UVA? Many students in the DMV apply to BC, many of those students are from VA, and many of the VA applicants will get into and enroll in UVA for obvious reasons. My kid was one of them.

Right - if Catholic, then Catholic schools and UVA in-state. If high stats, then Ivies and UVA in-state. If smaller schools, then SLACs and UVA instate (it’s mid-sized) or William & Mary

Uh, maybe because UVA is not Catholic and a LOT less expensive being in-state. What IS the point of this post?
