I understand you have a very personal relationship with her, but I don't think it's appropriate to give the nurse a gift card.

I'm not sure healthcare workers can accept monetary hits/gift cards - but that sounds nice.

My son has been getting home infusions every 6 weeks since the beginning of the year from an absolutely wonderful nurse. His next infusion is soon so we won't see her again before Christmas. I don't know much about her, but would like to show her our appreciation for the excellent care she gives my son. I was thinking I'd write a nice card (winter-themed, not Christmas themed) and get her a small poinsettia and a $25 Amazon gift card. Is this appropriate? Does anyone have any other ideas?
