Yes, all that is fine. If you hear back from an EA (or rolling) school before you hear back from your ED (1 or 2), you can withdraw your ED app if you decide you’ve changed your mind, as long as you haven’t gotten the ED response back yet.

They could too, but need to have your counselor be creative.

Question: should they submit their ED2 on Common App or wait to see if they get into their ED1 choice? Does Common App allow students to submit ED1 and ED2 apps simultaneously?
