We got neuropsychs for my AuDHD at points of transition, which ended up being every 3-4 years. Each one was helpful and gave us and the school helpful recommendations to provide support. The only one that didn't say anything new was the one in 11th grade, which we needed for college accommodations.

We got evaluations in PK (psycho-ed, provisional diagnosis of autism), 1st grade (first neuropsych, confirmed autism and added ADHD and dyslexia), 4th grade (confirmed above diagnoses, helpful for MS planning and our IEP fight with the district), 7th grade (helped with HS planning, added anxiety to list of diagnoses), and 11th grade (to qualify for college accommodations).

We had one done when he was 3 which diagnosed him with ASD, then we repeated it at age 7 which added ADHD diagnosis and then at 11yo we just did an educational assessment. He is now 13.5 yo and we are looking at which high schools might be a good fit. Would that be a reason to repeat a whole neuropsych evaluation? We already know he has ASD and ADHD. He attends a private school where he has been since preschool. His current school actually goes through 12th, but we are not sure they are going to offer him a spot for high school - most likely not. He makes mostly Bs and has a small group of friends. Overall, he is happy and progressing - so not sure what the NP will tell us, but the guidance counselor recommended it along with who should do it. DH is refusing because of the expense and since we already know what his challenges:diagnoses are. Thoughts from others who have BTDT?
