Also curious for feedback on the TEA center, as we’re considering it for our 3, soon to be 4, year old.

What’s the deal with the TEA Center?

There is a preschool fair sponsored by McLean moms on Dec 2 at Temple Rodef Shalom from 6-8. A lot of the schools with infant programs in the area will be there.

Sorry, Westgate does not take infants. So I would say Lewinsville is really the only option in 22101.

Thanks! I’m on the waiting list at Lewinsville, so I’m glad that you had a positive experience!

I won’t need care until the summer of 2026, so I’m hoping that will give me some options.

Many places that take infants have a waiting list. So do not delay to look into your options.

We used Lewinsville Montessori on Great Falls Street starting at 3 months. They have a 12-month program, which I needed as I work FT in the office.

They do close for Federal Holidays and a week or so at the end of December. Most kids learn to read during their 4-yr old year and then leave to do K in either public or private schools. There is a good Montessori environment starting around age 2.

They rent their space and their fenced playground from Fairfax County. They share a building with Westgate Childress Center (which is a competitor) and with a County senior center.

Hi! I am a first time mom expecting my child at the end of this year. I’m looking for daycare options in McLean (zipcode 22101). It’s so hard to know which centers or home daycares are good, so I thought I’d ask if anyone had experiences to share or recommendations.

Thanks!
