the $200 jeans fit me so much better and I am not tugging/hiking up/complaining they are a tad to short.

I can only speak for men's jeans, but a $200-300 pair of jeans is going to be cut better, use better fabric, and wear better than most cheaper jeans. For example, they will use better stitching and reinforcements in the bottom cuffs, and the material may be 5-10% of a synthetic fabric to add a little stretchiness. I buy 1 pair of jeans a year and they last the entire year or longer. I usually get Diesel or G-Star Raw.

What role do jeans play in your fashion world? Are they integral to your look? Do you pair them with expensive angora sweaters or just throw them on for Home Depot runs with sweatshirts? Here in Europe jeans mean different things to different people.

Better to spend that money on GLP and look good in cheaper clothes.

I never pay more than $50 for jeans. My thighs rub together when I walk, so they wear out in about three years. More expensive jeans won't change that, and the $50 jeans look just fine.

Maybe if I were still looking for a boyfriend or wanting to make some frenemy jealous at the club (lol) but alas, my life is pretty boring these days.

No, but cut and fit are all that matter and if the one that fits you best costs $200, it might be worth it to you.

Whichever pair looks good on is the pair to buy. I have pairs of H&M, others that cost $275. Couldn’t care less about the brand.

No. I buy jeans for comfort, durability, and minimal care requirements, so cheaper is better. If I want to impress someone with fashion, I’ll wear slacks, a skirt, or a dress. However, even then I don’t think I’d spend the $150-200 range PP suggested unless it was for a formal occasion.

NP- why? I have some Levis I really love and am curious what fancier jeans could be doing for me.

No one here knows what expensive means to you. I think around 150-200 has become pretty standard.

Or cheaper / mid priced jeans work just fine for you?
