It’s funny, after all the talk about Opal resorts last year we went for spring break this year and I wasn’t overly impressed. Mainly I felt like they nickeled and dimed you for absolutely everything. I’m already paying a ridiculous amount for a room, and yes, the hotel was beautiful, but why do I then have to pay $30 a day for beach chairs? Also, the service on the beach for lunch was insanely slow, like 1 hour plus. They only had 2 servers for dozens of chairs.

Maybe it was just Clearwater, but it felt like it was like Wildwood, but in Florida. I wouldn’t go back and I was also disappointed. We spent so much.

Same. I loved the Sandpearl, but I also like Rehoboth. I realize the town isn't really DCUM's cup of tea. I would be willing to try others if they are in an area with a lot of things to walk to.

Harborside in Bar Harbor was nice. Great pool and they had bunk rooms which we love.

The Opal in Bar Harbor and Jupiter are both wonderful. The Seagate has always been my favorite Delray hotel, for what it’s worth.

I've stayed at two Opal properties, harborside in bar harbor Maine, and sagamore on lake George. Both are great.

I’ve stayed at the Sandpearl property in Clearwater and loved it. Also visited their sister hotel there and it was very nice. I’d definitely stay at another Opal property.
