The things that would actually work are unpopular with self important jerks like many Montgomery County drivers.

This is all about $$$, not safety. And this is your proof of that.

For the record, they will also move cameras from places where the camera keeps getting vandalized or destroyed. That’s how the one in our neighborhood got relocated. It was costing more to repair or replace it than it was generating tickets. Again - further proof it’s not about safety, just money.

It is not true that they are for $.

They reduce speed, which saves lives.

Period.

If they are replacing with those poles (like on CT in Kensington), why wouldn’t they install the new before removing the old? Or is there a newer, less obvious technology already installed that maybe we can’t see?

Nunya…

I think I saw they’re putting in better, more accurate cameras.

that has to be among the stupidest and least-informative articles I've ever encountered.

You expect a lot from the "news"!

OP again.

I understand it’s about the money but at least five cameras are gone. What do you think will replace them? And when?

In the past 24 hours I have noticed that speed cameras iinside the beltway on CT, Wisconsin, and Bradley between Wisconsin and CT are gone.

If they are replacing with those poles (like on CT in Kensington), why wouldn’t they install the new before removing the old? Or is there a newer, less obvious technology already installed that maybe we can’t see?
