Is there actually a reason to be concerned? Does anyone know?
Have you had a specific concern related to your child? Are they unhappy? If not, why are you here gossiping? It’s super trashy of you to anonymously ask what’s wrong with someone on a big forum like this. This thread should be deleted.
OP here. It’s trashy that I want to see if I should be concerned with where my kid is going to school? For the record, my kid has had two issues, but thankfully handled at the teacher level (with great teachers) that didn’t need to be escalated.
Thanks all who provided helpful comments. It’s alarming to hear about the parents being pushed out, and we have noticed a massive amount of turnover, but unsure if that was related to principal or just how it is these days.
Nope, it’s trashy. You’re fishing for gossip. You have nothing specific to ask.
Your kid had an issue or two. It was handled. Great. You’ve had no problems with the principal. But you’re dying to hear what others will post on an anonymous forum and take it as gospel truth. If you can’t see how trashy this is, no one can help you.

In her first year, she actively pushed parents out of the classroom - where teachers had previously invited parents in to read or help with activities, she said that had to stop.
She banned subbing if you had a student in the school although a few long term subs were able to push back.
In short, she doesn't want parents involved in the school unless it's through the tightly controlled PTA.
Probably she had a valid reason. Too often parents get very gossipy and chummy with teachers and it creates problems.

I have no idea what she did but teachers left in droves over the last few years. One year at the end of school it came out that NONE of the 5th grade teachers would be returning. A teacher with 15+ years at the school felt "forced" to move to a different school.

Anonymous wrote:I have a child there, and I’m not a fan. The principal is very strict with recess. If any kid gets hurt playing on recess, she bans the game. No touch football, no tag. At one point no soccer. Kids get hurt playing. It’s part of life. She doesn’t seem to understand boys. The male assistant principal is awesome and seems to understand boys.

Unless, i’m not getting the story which I would be open to know more about (as I still have a kid in the school and will be there for years to come)
