Hmm. That makes no sense.

That amount of alcohol is well under the guidelines.

Pre diabetes doesn't get you the drugs either. You have to follow your formulary rules

So like people just ask for it? I guess I was under the impression there would be more hoops to jump through?

NP and yes, but insurance might not pay for it. This is when you can self pay through Lily. I was surprised how willing my doctor was to write my prescription. I was convinced I had sleep apnea and didn't because I don't sleep well. It is not a definite you will. Your doctor might be willing, If not, there are many online places that will give you a prescription.

I believe you do need a prescription for Lilly Direct even if self pay (I did). But honestly having a dr prescribe is the right way to go IMO. my doctor has me do 6 month lab check ins to make sure all is well, referred me to a nutritionist who has helped me rethink my approach to eating (something made possible by being on the Zep). I think a lot of people think this is a lose weight easy get out of jail card and it’s really not because I am fully aware that I need to drastically change my relationship with food to make this weight loss something that lasts. My internist and nutritionist are helping me with that. Lilly Direct is easy and costs $350 per month for lowest dose + syringes. Dr abd nutritionist are covered by insurance but Zep is not. Well worth it.

Do you need a prescription for Lilly Direct if you self-pay?

OP, don't do compound, my sister is an endocrinologist who specializes in insulin resistance and weight loss. She could tell you all sorts of horror stories and explain why compounded GLP-1s are unregulated and unreliable. These pop up companies have no history and report to no one. It's truly terrifying. Just do Lilly Direct. It's not much more expensive than a random online company that didn't exist 6 months ago.

Have been doing compound. They are great. To Reddit you go, lots of Black Friday sales happening and Hallendale is back on Monday!

There is no generic Zepbound, there is only compounded. The difference is that generic medicines are regulated, compounded are not.

I use Lilly Direct to get Zepbound. You can go through their telemedicine partner or your doctor can send the prescription to them. I use an obesity medicine practice. They have offices in Maryland if you want to look into them:

My friend went to a therapist for depression and the doctor asked about drinking amount and immediately offered a glp1 even though my friend claims he said he drinks 1 beer a night, 3-5 nights a week.

I’m finally ready to do this after seeming to stall with my own efforts. Already have a sustainable eating healthy and active lifestyle now but the last 30 pounds or so I just can’t seem to lose.

My labs are fine so I can’t imagine i’d be able to get a doctor to prescribe it for me. What’s my best lowest cost option? Locally-in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area or online.
