One year, we took my high schoolers to France and Germany because those countries aligned with their high schooler language class. We made them order for us (I took Spanish in hs).

If I had 10-14 days, I’d go to two of the Hawaiian islands!

Is there anywhere that you have always wanted to go? We went to Italy as a family and it worked out really well.

I'm turning 50 too and debating Greece, South of France, Venice/Dolomites/one more spot.

Hawaii or a cruise to Alaska - both are a mix of active stuff and relaxing time...

For the summer, especially with a hearty budget like this, I think Iceland or Rome would be good

Iceland gives you adventure and hiking and stuff with spa days for you, and a completely new language as a challenge

Rome/Italy gives you history and urban exploration with good food

I'm turning 50 next year and thinking about Switzerland next summer with the kids. I've wanted to go since I did a report on Switzerland in the 4th grade, and this seems like the right time to finally do it.

We had a great multi-generation trip to Yellowstone, but I don't think that's what you are looking for. I would suggest Alaska or Iceland. Or, if you have a large budget, go to the Galapagos Islands.

I’m turning 50 next year and want to plan a special trip with my teens. I’d love ideas that feel memorable without being too exhausting. Ideally something with a mix of fun activities for the kids and a little “treat yourself” vibe for me.

We’ve already done London, Paris, and Costa Rica, so I’d like to try something new this time.
