I’ve read Dotarem is slightly better than Gadavist. But I actually have no clue what I’m talking about. I’m in the same boat - MRI was advised as an option. but I’m not thrilled with the contrast agent unknowns where situation does not seem to necessitate the MRI. I’m doing an Ultrasound in the meantime. I am guessing you might be able to call the facility and they can look into it.

I have to have annual breast MRIs but I’m concerned about gadolinium buildup in tissues, including the brain.

I’ve read that newer formulations of gadolinium contrast agents have lower concentrations of the metal, but how do I find a center in DC that uses one of those?

Does anyone know?
