I like how everyone says he’s qualified and then goes on to point out the accomplishments of his mother and family members. We do not want anymore family business types running our government. This is exactly what people are pushing back against.

A career is the long-term professional journey of an individual, encompassing the progression of jobs, roles, and experiences throughout their working life, often requiring special training. It is more than a single job and can involve multiple positions within an industry or even across different fields, driven by personal goals and providing a path to financial stability, personal fulfillment, and professional development.

Schlossberg’s career (which you can easily find evidence of online, if you had any serious interest) is now moving into the political representation stage, assuming the voters of his district elect him.

My career began in education, shifted into advocacy and then law including a number of different positions in different areas of the law, and is currently in the hospice caregiver stage. I fully expect to have another chapter or two before I’m done.

Read the Maureen Dowd article. I'm glad she spoke of the jobs he's had because before, I didn't realize he had any jobs. But what career are you saying he had?

And as far as qualifications - Schlossberg has a JD-MBA and has been a Senate page and Senate intern. His grand uncle and godfather was the lion of the Senate when he was a kid, and he has multiple cousins who have been Congressmen. Lots of folks run successfully for Congress with less prior experience of the institution than he has. AOC was a bartender and she’s done very well for her district.

Nevermind MTG and Boebert and any other number of House members who had zero prior political experience before running.

He's a total nut, he has a lot of growing up to do if he wants to taken seriously.

ANY American citizen has the right to run for public office, and I’ve got more confidence in a young lawyer who comes from a storied political family responsible for civil rights and voting rights advances as well as being largely responsible for the Affordable Care Act and who has access to great wealth and thus no need to grift like the current occupant of the White House and too many members of Congress have done.

Why don’t you just come right out and say you hate the Kennedys and the agenda they’ve historically stood for, which is mostly about improving the lives of working class and minority Americans.

Like it or not, it takes money to run for office--our elected officials will be disproportionately rich until the campaign finance system changes (not happening anytime soon). Jack Schlossberg has called out his crazy brain worm cousin RFK Jr. and he seems like a smart enough person, and it's good for younger people to reinvigorate the Democratic party.

I'm not a NYer anymore, but I think it's a good thing he's running.

I'm as democratic as they come, but I've had it with slick nepo candidates regardless of what party or family they represent. I also am not a fan of Maureen Dowd, who just profiled Schlossberg for the NY Times.

32 year old grandson of JFK, throwing his hat into the ring for NY12, Jerry Nadler’s seat which he announced in September he will not seek reelection to.

Yale and Harvard Law grad, made some noise on the socials criticizing Trump and his uncle RFK Jr., who he just referred to as a rabid dog on a chain in the White House, one part of Trump’s agenda to destroy the legacy of the Kennedy family in DC and in the minds of Americans.

Trump *does* seem obsessed with hating the Kennedys, probably because they were so loved and a malignant narcissist can’t abide anybody else getting the glory.

I’m excited to see another young Kennedy step into the arena. Of course I grew up in the Commonwealth and most of us admire our Kennedys, or most of them anyway. I was heartbroken when John Jr. died, I think he could have done amazing things in the arena.

Let’s see what his nephew can do. Noblesse oblige.
