It appears you were more interested in seeking a way to hurt the person who hurt you. That may have resulted in a temporary level of enjoyment, but it won't resolve the pain you feel.

As stated in another post, forgiveness is for yourself.

I said everything I wanted to say to the person who hurt me. I spit it all out before continuing with my life somewhere else. No forgiveness here.

Forgiveness isn't about the other person (or wrongdoer - however you want to define it).

Forgiveness is about coming to terms to however you were wronged and accepting it.

Yes but it doesn't happen overnight. Give it time.

Agree. Forgiveness allows one to refocus on healthier matters. And forgiveness does not necessarily mean forgetting, but it does mean that one should "let go & grow".

I don't see forgiveness as something important. I don't ever "forgive" or "not forgive" in the sense I just want to get to a point of detachment from the situation, as in I don't let it bother me, for my own sake, but I also won't associate or (if I have to associate) won't have a relationship with the person on the same level because the past cannot be taken away.

This. It's about you, not about them

No and get them out of your life. They are toxic.

It's not so much forgive, as let go of being angry, and that's beneficial for me.

There’s also people who hurt subtly with their manipulative behavior.
Some of them attend Mass every week.

"They" say that forgiveness is good for the soul. I've heard about people who forgive people who have done horrible things to them because it says in the Bible that you'll be better off that way.

I can imagine that there are some bad people who attend mass regularly, thinking that they get "extra points" from God

Bad people are sometimes told that donating thousands of $$ will be forgiven by God.

Because forgiving them implies that they're wrong. Seems like you can only forgive people for things they've actually done.

You seem too judgmental to be forgiving.
