It's awful how secretive this stuff is. For actual crimes, of course it has to be kept confidential. But in the end it should all come out. It's shameful what happened at Eagle-- so many families and teachers left in the lurch and so much public funding wasted, yet the public has no idea what actually happened and where the money went. The Post won't report anything that makes charters look bad unless it's unavoidable. Capital Village is just one more embarrassing failure to add to the list. Eagle, I Dream, Hope Tolson, who's next?

SEED is finally having to deal with the abuse allegations. A lot of the kids are adults now and are speaking out about the hellhole that is SEED PCS.

Deliberating on the economic viability of a charter in a closed session? So the public won't know the enrollment status, financial issues, whether there is an imminent collapse, etc? What about families and staff? This should be done in an emergency meeting open to the public not something done in a closed, non-public session.

I'm not very clear why this qualifies as a "retreat" and is allowed to be closed, but it seems they're going to have some training and deliberate on charter reviews, in particular "Deliberate upon the economic viability of Capital Village PCS". Sounds like trouble.
