i agree with PPs and add volleyball. Volleyball training generally starts later unless you're one of those.

Martial arts. Running. My son took mountain biking classes.

pickleball? track and field? For the girl, then girls on the run (often offered at elementary school, but it's a private club) is a great way to get started with running. Kids of all abilities usually sign up.

For non athletic kids, what team or individual recreational sports are beginner friendly through the city of Rockville/gaithersburg or Montgomery county or else where? We have tried soccer and basketball for my 4th grader son. He wants to try something new. My 1st grader daughter has not tried any team or individual sport yet.
