We have a large basement dehumidifier which drains to a floor drain in a utility room, and a portable unit in our MBR with a tank which has to be periodically emptied by hand. The two units do the job for us. In thw winter, we have a portable humidifier in the MBR and a whole-house humidifier in the main level HVAC ductwork. The DC area does see extremes during different seasons.

I don't worry about it, it's only a week or two a year in our area.

We have a dehumidifier for each level.

I’m observing high humidity in our house - high 60’s - the last couple of weeks. I think it’s due to no AC and no heat due to the outdoor temperatures, plus high outdoor humidity.

We’ve got a basement dehumidifier.

I’m wondering if you have this issue and have an upstairs dehumidifier?
