Just go to the open house. You will get a tour then.

FWIW, was not impressed with the facilities or admin at the main campus.

The 2nd Street campus is old. The Cooper campus is so new there are still boxes waiting to be unpacked.

New but small and sharing with YY. At least the main campus has a gym and library. Copper is very, very limited with academic offerings and EC and sports.

The main campus is better but it is nit saying much because it also is not great.

Cooper campus does have a library and a gym. They’re in the historic building, not the new building.

Latin is not for everyone. You don’t have to send your kid there. My kids go to a school with lots of EC and sports and it’s really overwhelming for one of my kids who is not sporty and has EC activities outside of school. I can understand why parents would want an option like this for certain kids.

Me neither. Didn’t matter because we didn’t get a spot but academics seemed weak.

To me it seemed like the humanities were quite strong but the math and science weak.

Then it is Basis you seek…

When my now 7th grader was in 4th, Latin scheduled most of the shadow days to take place before April 1.

And if it wasn’t “most,” it was a sizable number.

I have a current 5th grader and we were only offered a shadow day after we received an offer. Maybe they do it for everyone but that seems very disruptive and pointless since so few kids actually get a seat.

Open Houses: https://latinpcs.org/2025/10/open-houses-and-other-admissions-events/

To ask about shadow days, email admissions@latinpcs.org. I don't know what's planned this year, but I know kids who went to shadow days the past two school years. I don't remember if they were before lottery applications were due or after.

Historically, it has done both.
