Anyone familiar with the fine print of travel insurance provided when flights are booked on a credit card with Chase or American Express? Flying to the London in less than two weeks and need to book some expensive internal flights to go further north. They will be on different airlines and putting flights on one booking is not possible for a variety of reasons.
Slightly nervous in case the shutdown continues and things get to the point where there is a delay on the international flight. I would leave a three hour connection time in the UK, but now I’m wondering whether I need to leave even more. Obvious, it’s not great to hang around the airport for huge amounts of time, especially for kids, after an overnight flight.
I’m wondering whether travel insurance would cover us missing the flight north or might this be one of the exclusions?
