I have worn Docs, Blundstones, Ariat, Thursday Boot Company, Troentorp, Frye, Coach, and Timberlands. It varies with the styles, but Ariat and Thursday Boot Company were probably the lightest, although the bouncy-ness of the Docs gave them the edge for comfort throughout a long day with a fair amount of steps and walking.

Solovair. Searching her size for a designer rubber-soled Chelsea boot on The Real Real. She can spend the same or far less at Sam Edelman or even Universal Thread at Target for a Thursday Boot Co look.


DP. Where have you seen Thursday boots in person? I've only seen online and - somehow - in a catalog sent to my house. They look nice enough, but most anything can with good photography.

I’ve always worn black Docs boots. But they just feel so heavy this year. My feet are wide-ish, but not “wide” in actual size. My boots have black thread, not the bright yellow.

Any recommendations for something similar in look but a bit lighter in feel?
