MY DD is a Goalie coming out of one of the DC area private leagues. She has had no issues in acclimating to the game at that level. She said the speed and physicality are about the same; she feels like she has been playing at that level since freshman year in high school. She started all scrimmages this fall and has displaced the senior starter in her position. I'm not so sure if the public school players will transition as easily since they don't have that same grind of a schedule with teams full of D1 commits.

They will not be experiencing a lot of what their NARP friends are in college and that’s okay, but definitely a sacrifice. Early mornings, strict schedules and taking care of their physical health becomes such a huge priority.

+ 1,000%

Pick the school and not the lacrosse program.

For those parents who are now in their second year with their sophomore in college or any parents have any tips and advice you’d give about adjusting to playing lacrosse in college?
