Homeschoolers do this all the time and do great with it, unless your kid is slow they’ll be fine.

Speak with the counselor at your school or email someone at central office. They do not give credit for just any summer or virtual course taken. It has to be one they approve.

People do CTY because DCPS accepts CTY as an equivalent high school course. You'll want to make sure that the program is accepted for credit by DCPS. It's a lot of work to take a class outside of school, and then not be able to use the credit.

You should ask the high school which credits they accept.

Looking for an online Algebra 2 class for HS credit. Ideally something that will actually teach my child math. The only program I’ve heard DCPS kids actually do is CTY. I’d like to evaluate other options, just to compare.

Any experiences?
