It draws pretty heavily on Philly/NJ kids but I think this is changing and will continue to change. The school is expanding, adding nursing, and has a new campus in Lancaster.

It's a nice school with an attractive campus. It did feel very culturally Catholic to me, as a non-Catholic. Not a problem but just something to consider.

YMMV. Good luck.

New poster. With all respect, if you didn’t know this before applying you didn’t do your research. It’s a regional university with solid practical and pre-professional programs in the City of Philadelphia. It’s not a national university with a national reach. It’s obviously going to focus on the region where it’s located, which also happens to contain one of the largest cities in the US.

This hardly means that you have to stay in Philly if you graduate from St Joes though. The DMV is full of grads from schools exactly like it. I myself am one.

. Will keep that in mind but that doesn’t matter too much to me. Where did your son end up?

We toured and liked it a lot and they just accepted him with nice merit, which will make it more than maryland in-state (he has almost no chance for UMD, so I mean Towson, etc) but far less than other targets/reach schools like UDel, JMU, Pitt, VT. I also like the size for him.

Anyone have good / bad feedback on this school?

Do you mean isn't high stats by this board's standard? Or isn't high stats in the real world/not on this board?

A lot of the posts here seem to be for kids trying for top 50 schools. My kid has a 3.7uw and test optional.
