About 5'5 and consider myself short for my ethnic background but I guess average if you're taking everyone into account.

Op, If I’m guessing the correct other thread, you were asking for dress recommendations. Many of the models in the dresses shown were 5’9” or 5’10”, so you are shorter by comparison but certainly not short.

I’m 5’9”. 5’8” and up is tall to me. 5’6”-5’7” is average. 5’5” and below is short. So I’d consider you on the short side of average.

I thought average height of a woman at 5 foot 4 in the US. So I consider 5 foot 3 and below short, 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 6 medium, and 5 foot 7 and taller as tall.

I'm 5'6" and and feel short compared to men and average/slightly tall compared to women.

In heels i feel tall bc I'm eye to eye with many men, and above many women.

In flats I feel almost completely average.

5'4" is considered exactly average in the Western World, and at the top end of petite in fashion.

5'6 is the taller side of average. DCUM has gaslighting 101 down.

I consider 5'6" pretty much dead average for a woman. I'd consider a woman 5'8" to be tall and a woman 5'4" to be short, and 5'5"-5'7" is the middle of the pack.

I consider 5’6” average-tall for a woman. It probably depends on her frame whether she looks smaller. I am 5’2”.

5’6 is in the normal/average range.

I recently made a post in the fashion section and mentioned that I'm 5'6 (woman) and many responses referred to me as short.

I've always thought I'm on the taller side for women and now I'm mind blown that I might be short.
