I want them to make an anonymous survey for teachers to fill out about APs at their school. They don’t seem to collect data about their competence at all.
As a parent, I have a lot to say about the AP my child is assigned to. They need to be terminated. They are racist and refuse help for serious concerns.

I hate completing them. They rarely represent teacher concerns.

Maybe because an anonymous site is a safe place to vent. Human nature, I guess.

None of the questions on the survey ask staff about out of control student behaviors and the effect it has on a class full of kids wanting to learn. There is also nothing asking about the ridiculous workload that’s piling on to teachers’ plates with the new CKLA curriculum and Synergy MTSS plans. While I find that the CKLA topics are more interesting to students, the lack of student and teacher friendly materials is inexcusable. We went from our students taking online Benchmark assessments that self-scored everything but the written response to having to give a 17 page paper test and then convert the points over into the Performance Matters site. This year they put some parts of the test online but the items are so poor that we’re assessing whether a student can navigate the highlighter tool more than the actual grade level standard.
We used to be such a great system but I feel like we keep moving backwards.
I am glad to hear some teacher feedback on CKLA. I wondered whether it was actually going to provide something that teachers can readily use. The testing problems are alarming.
Why isn't Taylor paying attention to these matters? What is Niki Porter doing? She seems unequal to her job.
