My DD has not gotten an offer (was really hoping she should with the U15 white/grey groups that were added) and NVVA was her only hope because she is relatively new and the other club fees/schedules were just too much for us. I’m glad it worked out for your DD though!

My DD went to every XP prep clinic this fall which were coached by the U15 Black coach. She liked him a lot and (from my limited observations) I also thought he was good.

Thanks! You are right it’s our only choice so we are going to make the best of it and hope for enough improvement next year for something better!

PP back again and I just looked up the team. If it’s her only offer then it’s really your only choice besides the Galaxy league or just the private training with open gyms. I don’t know this coach at all so I can’t give you feedback on him.

You mentioned she went to a competitive HS and this team won’t go to any real tournaments. That’s the only downside. They only do NVVA’s hosted ones and they tend to play pretty low level teams. Be prepared for that. But the plus side is it’s cheap and she will get some time playing and some touches.

Pretty accurate assessment! She’s 15U Black and has played rec league and freshman at a good/competitive volleyball HS school. No other offers. First club year. Hoping to learn, practice and get more experience along with a private coach not affiliated with NVVA. Glad to hear your daughter had a good experience. Thanks!

Which team and how much experience does your daughter have? If you are asking now, you don’t have any other offers. If she’s young and/or new to volleyball then it’s probably fine.

My DD started at NVVA as a first club and had a good experience there before moving onto another club. She learned a lot.

Her very first club coach is still there and she liked him very much. Bill might be one of the few long time coaches still there and is still coaching the youngest teams. We don’t know the others.

Any thoughts on this club? My DD received an offer, but I don't know much about them. Thanks
