Do you feel like your kid is actually learning the curriculum? Bc while an A is nice, the curriculum is kind of important.

Given the rush to implement this, our school was unable to procure an on-site teacher, so they went virtual instead. Not ideal for 6th graders
Due to the initial messaging that the grade would be permanent after first quarter, half of the kids dropped it. It is unfortunate that the guidance indicating the grade can be expunged after the school year came so late.
I applaud the existing kids trudging thru the mud, paving the way for next year. I think it will be successful, despite the rhetoric from some teachers, who were displeased with the quick and dirty implementation, trying to get the kids to drop it
I don't know where your messaging came from, but the expunge option was clear both from our school and from DCUM from the beginning.

Report cards will come out soon. Our child was tracking to receive an A before the gradebook was taken down at the end of the quarter.
We are not a family that talks to other families about their grades, so I can only speak to our experience.
