Last year was the first year we used it in secondary, this year is the first year they are requiring us to give it 3 times (our pyramid at least, others may have different rules).

It's helpful for IEP meetings, behavior interventions, etc. When a kid is failing everything and the test can show he's at the 6th percentile in math or english, it's pretty obvious the source of the issue. (or the flip, if they score at the 75th percentile, it's more obviously an effort thing than an ability thing).

For an average kid performing at an average level with no major issues, it's not all that useful.

I just saw in my 9th grade son’s ParentVue record a document with results for MAP testing. I don’t remember these for high school with my older children. Do these actually provide valuable information about his knowledge, level etc with the percentile rank as some more recognized tests would or is this meaningless?
