Right, but semester grades won’t be available until the EA/ED decisions go out. So it only helps students who are deferred or for those students who have been accepted and they want to make sure the student is continuing to eke up with their grades.
I want DC to submit his first quarter grades to help with the EA/ED decisions but wasn’t sure if the schools will even accept and consider them past the EA/ED deadline.

Same here but coach said grades still need to be good 1st quarter and has had some admissions not go through where this is not the case. Obv. will vary by school.

My DC submitted them. They were optional. But I felt their strong 1st quarter grades helped offset early B’s in 9/10th.

They have to submit them if the schools want them. Most ED schools do. It will be either asked of the school counselor or it will show up in the portal. There's no way around this if you want to be a competitive candidate.

My DC is lucky to have won a coach’s support, the coach asked for Q1 grades. It says on FCPS website Q1 grades will be available Nov 10.

If school is on a semester transcript, why send quarter? Just asking before someone berates poster

How so? ED decision comes out in December. First quarter grades are out way earlier than that, right after November 1 deadline. Decisions are already made now?

Yes, submit. The school my DC ED'd to requires it. I'm a little nervous as he has a B+ in AP Lit and potentially AP Calc too, but the other grades are good and the rigor is there.
If anything, the AOs are so busy that it's very likely they've decided before seeing first quarter grades anyway.
