My friend group always does potluck for white elephant and everyone brings something. I always do a signature cocktail as well but something you make in a large batch that is also festive (also do this for an annual halloween party we go to).

I would want dinner. And White Russians.

Dinner. Or something that passes as dinner. Sandwiches, wings, charcuterie boards, mini quiches, quesadillas, anything that can be made into an actual dinner.

Wine, beer, holiday cocktail, mocktail option, seltzers.

Reubens are one of the messiest possible sandwiches. Why not suggest sloppy joes?

That's core dinner time (or would be early to eat before & late after) so heavy apps would be appreciated.

I wouldn’t do cocktails but I’d have red and white wine, some beer, water and some flavored seltzer (bubly/la croix)

Finger foods that can qualify as dinner. Pigs in blankets, chicken wings, spanikopita, charcuterie platter with crackers, sliders, meatballs, veggie tray, that sort of thing.

Guests coming over in early December for a neighborhood White Elephant gift exchange. What types of drinks, cocktails, food, desserts would you want to see at a 7 p.m. gathering?
