My daughter and I both filled out the forms that the school sent to us so that the counselor could write the LoR for my daughter's college applications. They were two separate forms that required us to list her accomplishments, interests and anything else that would be interesting about her. During the school's college information session, all of the counselors spoke and reminded parents to turn in the forms. The forms were submitted on time and her counselor never wrote the letter of recommendation and therefore nothing was submitted to the schools. Her foreign language and math teacher, however, submitted their letters. I'm upset that the counselor did not write and turn in the letter even after my daughter reminded her last week of it and she promised to get it done. Today is November 3rd and it was supposed to have been submitted by November 1st.
