I had one and had it removed by my gynecologist since they specialize in vaginas. The specimen was shared with my dermatologist for labs. Thankfully, not cancerous. But since skin cancer runs in my family, glad to have it removed. And thanks to my husband go seeing it!

Go to the dermatologist. My aunt’s melanoma was initially discovered in her groin area. It eventually was fatal. I don’t mean to scare you, but skin cancer can pop up on parts of the skin that saw very little sunlight.

+1. Mine removed it after the birth of my child. I was still numb from the epidural. She stitched up where she cut and that was that.

+1. My derm said she has seen melanoma on skin that never sees the sun.

Why do you say “down there?”

Do you mean your labia or your penis?

Please use correct nomenclature. “Down there” is so puerile.
