8pm. It was dead out. I had candy left but no one was coming. This was in Fairfax. I hypothesize that all the days of school mean families might have traveled?

We're in a neighborhood with a couple of hyper-visited streets, but practically empty side-streets. There's one hotspot in particular where everyone congregates because the houses there are in competition with one another for most atmospheric decor. But once you get past that, it's very quiet.

We had more TOTers this year than in recent years, esp middle schoolers. It was fun.

The wind blew over my candy bowl outside at 7:45 so I brought it in and turned the light out. I only got maybe 4 kids since 4:30.

Ours are still on - super slow night for what I expected. Mostly older kids who were super polite. Where are all the elementary and younger kids? My oldest teen said the little kids all do trunk or treats now.

We turned them off around 8:30 and then got another big group that saw me through the window and rang the bell anyway. I was glad to get rid of the candy though, I bought too much.
