Agreed with this. Look at pre-2020 Common Data Sets and compare your DC's scores to those scores.

Ok but you come asking a question without pertinent details and you'll get random feedback. What's the point? Do you really want help? Call the school counselor.

I guess I need to call the schools and find out, but I think I can. Not going to name the schools or list DS's scores or GPA because, well, DCUM.

lol...most colleges get 50,000 or more applications. Your child's 1300 SAT to VaTech isn't going to out you.

If your kid is economically disadvantaged, they should have submitted. Especially if its better than gpa.

I don't think you should worry about it. Schools that aren't the real selective ones don't care too much about scores. It is was below the 50 percentile, the guidance is almost always don't send. Don't overthink it. It will all work out!!!

Don’t second guess, it’s done right?

This is also why I think TO has to go.

If they’re “better” than his GPA, you should have sent them no matter what they are.

Why don’t you list the scores and the “type”
Of schools they are to give us a better idea whether or not you should try to remedy this.

Remember that scores are skewed higher now because of the schools being test optional—only reported scores are figured into the numbers

does your hs publish SAT average in school profile? if your DS SAT is much higher, i would still submit.

some colleges also have a no harm test optional policy - so you still want to submit

Having second thoughts about not submitting scores to a couple of EA schools. DS's SAT is below their published median, but not by a lot, and his SAT is "better" than his GPA.

Should I be second guessing this, or does the maxim to only send scores if they are above the median hold true here?
