These numbers are only part of the story. From a high performing HS whatever it takes to be in the top 3 to 5 students. From a low performing HS top 3?0r so but also must be at least 2 standard deviations above the mean.

To many 1500+, 4.5+, double digit AP kids to choose from every year across the country. More than enough to fill every seat in the top 20, but don’t forget the top 20 has to take athletes, band members, and every other group that makes up a college class.

Agree with other posters. Not enough info on a student with just gpa/test score/#of AP. But if you are just asking about test scores, then check each school to see if that score is above the median. But keep in mind schools that are/were test optional will have higher averages.since low test scores were not submitted. But a high test score will not usually tip the applicant into the admitted pile, too many other factors and too many others with high scores.

As a resourse for estimating comparative selectivity, this site may be helpful:

College & University Rankings in 2026 https://share.google/MLgWt3KACYbaaqAMl

Perhaps compare this student's profile to that for the 20th most selective school in the nation, which the site estimates to be Pomona. As an opinion, this student may encounter better chances at schools with selectivity ranks in the 25 to 40 range.

Also - have public Nova kids had any good luck at U Chicago? On our Naviance it doesn't look good but maybe nobody applied ED.

Ok so we think Sat is too low... so maybe 1530 or above and 3.9 or above?

It's pretty specific to school. The scattergrams can answer your question -- for your school and your choice of university.

This is absolutely wrong. It won’t tell you who was hooked, ED’ed, was it TO then, major if had to declare it, ECs or awards.

Well, the SAT is low for 75th percentile at UVA, which is a 1510. The GPA is spot on, the APs are OK if maximum rigor.

Higher than 3.85 unweighted unless you have spectacular ECs or hook

Everyone here will tell you that it's school specific and you should check Naviance or SCOIR. I will tell you that T20 are less about stats and more about everything else (rigor, ECs, choice of major, any national/state awards), so there isn't nearly any info in your posting for a "chance me."

Yes and some people will tell you UVA is T20
