Woah. I agree with everything but your last sentence. ONLY breeders should be allowed. Dogs aren’t nature vs nurture. They have very firm natures and people need working and service dogs that are bred that way. Even companion dogs should come from breeders too. Grandma doesn’t need a pit mix to cuddle with.
We need mandatory spay and neuter laws unless you have a license. And there should be fines and penalties.
NP. I agree with you re: mandatory spay/neuter, but most people breeding purebreds for show, service dogs, etc are not clearing much of a profit, if any. It's a hobby that might pay for itself most years.
People breeding high volume as a commercial enterprise are a problem and should be banned.
