Faux rich? At this rate, $200k will be the cost for many instate VA undergrad degrees.

Amazon laying off employees, UPS, Target, Salesforce.. all corporate jobs.

Smart to apply to colleges with best ROI.

Their criteria are wholly unscientific and seemed designed to boost the idea of paying 500k for a college degree at an ‘elite school’

This seems like it was written by a junior marketing intern.

‘Out of the more than 650 schools we considered on this project, the 209 we chose as our 2025 Best Value Colleges are, in our opinion truly the most exceptional in the nation at delivering great academics, affordable cost, and great career foundations. We strongly recommend and salute the colleges we present here for all that they do to help their students with need afford to attend them while delivering an amazing college experience that's worth every penny.’

Where is their support for this?

No you want to look at this instead

Even those numbers are misleading as they take average cost of attendance and not median. Most of us posting from the NE will pay sticker price or close to it.

UVA in-state 4 years is about that price.

There is a reason state flagships are getting increasingly slight after.

Imo, hard to justify private university tuition except in special cases.

It’s good to ask questions; we have this student debt mess in part because not enough questions were asked.

It’s good that people are finally starting to question the cost of college. Both private schools and out-of-state publics are such a rip-off and disconnect from building career (aka, no career in AI generation)

Yes. If you have the money. If you don't find a cheaper school or go to the one giving you more money even if a lesser school
