No. If I'm the one taking up the time, I would want the people waiting to be informed. A plane can be delayed by unpreventable weather conditions, but they don't have us crammed at the gate standing and waiting. They let us know.

Don't bring me back there if you're not ready for me. If it's a true emergency, let me know. An assistant, nurse, or Admin can come by and say it'll be a while, do you want to get dressed while you wait? or reschedule?

Just leave a shitty review to warn other people. I read the reviews when looking for a new dr and if one is consistently known for being late, I avoid.

Or just understand that this doctor attends to his / her patients. Yes, it is this way. We all need to understand because one day it will be you that is taking other's time.

Take some time to call your insurance company or legislators and complain. They are ultimately responsible and the reason doctors are going concierge.

I walked out after a 60 minute wait on a table and didn't get charged. I don't think what you say is universal.

This is not the punishment you think it is for the doctor. The doctor is busy. The patient depending on what he/she needs will need to find another doctor and another appointment slot. OBGYNS were the worst for this in my opinion...women don't complain much and how are you going to compete with some pregnant woman's urgent whatever.

Depends on who the doctor is. A hard to get-into specialist you really need to see? Stick it out.

Leave. Tell the receptionsit that you have been waiting for 40 mins and it's an unacceptable amount of time and that you will not be charged.

When this happened to me I went to reception and said I had to leave in 20 minutes. Doctor came pretty quick after that. She 100% forgot about me.

There is someone sicker or needier than you. Deal.
I had a doctor who was routinely 2 HOURS late to my appts.

She already took time off work though, that's cutting off your nose to spite your face. Get dressed and go stand in the hallway and ask loudly if they have forgotten about you

I’m been sitting on the table forever in a thin sheet and I’m freezing.
I’m behind on all by regular checks but it’s so hard when I need to take a half day off work for each little thjng (and a full day for bigger things like colonoscopy). Plus all the kids appointments.

I know the medical field is falling apart but it’s just so frustrating.
